Two Third Places for Eastriding at Championship Show


The last weekend in April 2015 saw the annual WELKS (West of England Ladies Kennel Society) Championship Dog Show at Three Counties Showground in Malvern. The three day event, saw Eastriding entering two dogs, on the third day in the Gundog section.

The WELKS Championship Dog Show comprises of:

  • Day one: (Friday, 24th April) Pastoral & Utility
  • Day two: (Saturday, 25th April) Hound, Working & Terrier
  • Day three: (Sunday, 26th April) Gundog & Toy

Eastriding Success

Eastriding Achieved two third places on third day of Championship Show, judged by Colin Woodward (Wadeson Kennel) one with Midas who is on loan from Adamants kennel in Finland and the other from their own puppy Freya, who has a Swedish heritage.

  • – Adamant’s Fortune is Future (Midas) – Won 3rd Place Open Dog
  • – Hollivera’s Verona With Eastriding (Freya) – Won 3rd Place Puppy Bitch

Best in Show

At West of England Ladies Kennel Society the Best in show judge in 2015 was Ken Sinclair famous for his Araki Tibetan Terriers.  His choice for Best in Show was his own Utility group winner the Shar Pei, Ch Ashowai Ready to Rock. Reserve was the Afghan Hound, Garamond Juniperberry Saxonmill.
